Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
well I must confess after watching this movie it was pretty good =) I only ready the first book but I have seen all the movies thus far and I really liked the ending. It's pretty good so far and I cant wait for the rest of it! Epic waste of my time...
Man Im beat. So there is this crappy little 'toy expo' if you could call it that near my home that mom wanted to go to in order to sell some of her Star Wars stuff she had been keeping since Episode 1. Well it was free and she wanted my help to load/unload tables, chairs, umbrella, and like 60 boxes of the toys to this hot parking lot with about 20 other vendors outside a crappy toy shop on an out-of-the-way street. (Can you tell Im ranting yet?) Last night I try and go to bed at 10pm to wake up at 5:30am t get ready for this but my body had other plans... 2am >_< so after being dead tired we get there end up switching tables and moving stuff (after we unloaded it all once) to sit in the heat till 1pm... about 6 hours. Care to take a guess at how much we sold? Nada. Not that many people even showed up let alone anyone with deep pockets for rare toys, everyone wanted a deal and there was none to be had at my table lol. Other then spending some rare time with her, basically it was a total waste and now I am overdue for a nap. Fanime Con report
Well at long last another Fanime behind me, and although it flop flopped between totally awesome and totally lame, I was overall left with a good experience. Starting back in January we decided to do Magic Knight Rayearth, and I could finally do an outfit Ive wanted to do since I started cosplaying back in 1998.  Even though Im sure not a lot of people knew who I was unless I was posed with the girls, it was nice to hear the cheers for everyone on stage, and we even won best group craftsmanship! The Awesome - Seeing friends of course! And meeting some new ones, you guys are awesome - Having pictures taken of new outfits =3 - Being cheered for on stage, and winning a craftsmanship award - McDonald's 6 times in one weekend? Hell yeah! - Getting 3 new toys! KH Cloud and Sephiroth, and Revoltech Dante - Beating the noobs at Magic Cards, that never gets old busing uot stuff from 10 years ago they never ever heard of The Lame - Not getting in and unpacked till 5am Thursday -_- so tired - Missing most of Friday - Missing most of Saturday (but thats typical masquerade day stuff so I was expecting that) - Being shoved out the door after we won because the skits went 30 min over, oh bo-hoo union employees Im wearing 50 pounds of plastic and cant see, if I trip you'll have more then a little overtime to worry about - Sunday being in costume... Friday afternoon/evening - Dante Saturday evening - Secret Masq costume shhhhhh Sunday afternoon - Masq costume again... I think Sunday evening - Dante to the B&W ball? Any ladies need a date? Thanks to everyone
Well thanks to everyone that supported me and the kind words through the passing of my grandma and uncle. Since then we have had many people from the church make us delicious meals to help ease the pain, but none so delicious as this... Sorry for the big image but if you see the side of the box... 23 pounds of M&Ms?? How the hell can we eat all that?!?! Anyways, thats what 23 pounds of chocolate looks like =p (PS tax return $781... From Bad to Worse...
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support at the passing of my grandma. I wish I had better news about how things might be better, but my uncle (grandma's son) just passed away a few hours ago. I know he was very sick, being in the hospital for the last 2 months, but the news of grandma's passing was just too much for him. Goodbye Grandma, I'll miss you...
Well, I havent really had to deal with a personal loss before today, for those of you who dont know me too well, we dont have a lot of family, just my two sisters, parents, my grandma and my uncle. Of course we have a bit more, but I dont know any of them... I was playing a new game I downloaded around noon when my mom runs in hysterical, Ive never seen her like that before saying that we had to go to grandmas about 5 miles away because she thought she was dead. Since she was 80 my parents would go every weekend to help buy groceries and clean up the house and when my dad and little sister went there she was laying on the couch just lifeless. I loved grandma and I felt really sad but what hurts the worst is seeing mom's world just come crashing to the ground... its been so hard for her and this wasnt what she needed. Its not fair really, and it makes me ask why. I guess thats it for now, I dont expect to respond much to any posts you have for condolences but thank you anyways, your support is appreciated none the less my friends. Crumbling
Sometimes it feels like your world is falling apart ;_; Well I found out today that I am being laid off from my Graphic Design/marketing position at the City of Rocklin after two years, that proves even government isn't safe from the shit that is this recession =/ I know its not my fault, but it really sucks to know you cant control some of the things that can bring you down so fast and hard... and to think just a half a year ago my life couldn't get any better. I guess I'll have to think about what I will do, perhaps get away from it all like the last time this sort of thing happened to me. I even wanted to mix it up by going back to school to take a Flash animation class, that they canceled because not enough people signed up, so a buck later for parking and an hour out of my night I headed home thinking I need more from my life then just drawing and video games. | | Monday, January 5th, 2009 | | 5:45 pm |
